F
Ield trip After the National Geographic Live! presentation of the Spinosaurus, we will stop by Chuck-E-Cheese in Tacoma to grab a bite to eat and have some fun.  The cost is $10 for four slices of a large pizza, unlimited drinks, and 32 tokens.

Bible We began our study on a new lesson, which is entitled, “Moses Serves God.”  In spite of Moses’ self-perceived inadequacies, God calls Moses to serve Him

Reading and Language Arts Last week, we completed our final drafts of each poem, and added illustrations for each page.  Binding of our poetry books, self-reflection, receiving and giving criticism of the poetry books, and presenting them will take place this week.  Mechanics, Usage, and Grammar (M.U.G.) Capitalization concerning proper nouns that are geographic terms, proper adjectives, titles used in names, and abbreviations (of titles, companies, countries and states, and addresses) will be learned and practiced.

Math lessons 54-56 will be practiced and due tomorrow.   Daily from Wednesdays through Friday, a lesson will be examined in detail. There is a test today.

Spelling This week we are studying more homophones (lesson 14).  Vocabulary, we are beginning a new lesson on “The First Thanksgiving.”  There are a spelling and vocabulary (Wordly Wise) test this week.

Science We are preparing for the upcoming test, which is this Thursday by reviewing our study guides through games.

History We continue an in-class project with a partner on a Greek god to begin our new chapter on Ancient Greece.  Keep studying for the upcoming Passport test.

The lightening-of-your-binder news has been more-than-welcomed!  I am so glad to hear that your backpacks are getting less heavy, as a result!

Parents, please join the PTF meeting in the library between 5-6 p.m.  Your presence will be a present!  These homophones were on our last week’s list.  You will obtain childcare for the hour and a volunteer hour.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO!!!
Have a blessed week, Mrs. Chang
