Help needed Parents, if you are interested in lending a helping hand in the class once a week, please email me.
What we are learning…
Bible Verse We are finishing up the unit on Israel’s seven cycles of book of Judges.  The quiz is on Wednesday.
The Bible memory verse for this week is Romans 12:4-5.
History  We are continuing our study of the northeastern part of Asia and we will continue our study about the southeastern part of Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and the SE Asian islands).
Science  In the “Weather” chapter, we are studying on the section about “Severe Weather.”  We have begun talks about the Science Fair projects and the topic/title, Biblical application/illustration, problem/question, and hypothesis. They are due this Friday.
Math Test 16 will be on Tuesday.
Reading Continue to keep log of the monthly reading calendars Last month’s calendar is next month. Bud, Not Buddy has he truly found what he has been looking for?  We find out this week as we near the end.
Language Arts Complete the spelling handouts for Spelling and Wordly Wise We have been going strong on our marathon race of the “Write Source Challenge” to complete the workbook by the end of the year.  The steady race is both manageable and worthwhile.  The effort of being exposed to the conventions of writing will be quite fruitful for writing papers now and for middle school, high school, college, and future jobs for our future leaders.

Writing Our poetry projects are halfway done and our books are slowly forming.  These poems require one’s own imagination and are not only simple but also fun.  Their feelings expressed and unique personalities are emerging through their own creations.  Please see my blog if you would like to view the full packet!

Language Arts Complete the spelling handouts for Spelling and Wordly Wise.  Last week, we started our marathon race called the “Write Source Challenge.” We are going to try and complete the workbook by going over four pages a day!  This challenge has exposed us to much of the conventions of grammar already!
