Chang’s Newsletter—June 1st



Hello Parents/Guardians,
HELPERS needed! For our Friday’s field trip, we truly need a volunteer to drive one of the 15-passenger vans.  Also, volunteers are needed for the upcoming field day during the morning of Thursday, June 11th.  Please email me if you can help with any of these upcoming events.  Finally, we are almost to the finish line!  Summer is in sight, so let’s give it our best to the end!  Without a doubt, you all are doing great!

Homework for THIS Day (*Tests/Quizzes):
Monday ~ Math Test 21* for bonus; Math Lesson 114 odds; final reading log for May due tomorrow
Tuesday ~ Spelling Lesson 32* and cursive; Wordly Wise 17A-C
Wednesday ~Math Lesson 115 odds; return library books for the summer
Thursday ~ Math Lesson 116 evens; Bible Verse Test de-scrambling the verses of Romans 12
Friday ~ Math Handout p. 397 (on the back of this newsletter)

Field Trip Date
June 5 ~ Beach side field trip off of Puget Sound; No swimming on this trip, because it is still too cold.  Please bring a sack lunch.  However, if a parent is willing to volunteer with ordering our pizza and getting drinks and a snack from Costco, then bring $3 by Thursday!!!  No electronic items are allowed unless your parent is joining us on the trip.  Items to bring: sunscreen (apply before school), extra clothing and shoes, towel, light jacket, water bottle (labeled with your name), and squirt guns (optional) are needed.

Romans 12:1-21
Now, that the class has memorized chapter 12, can you remember the order of the verses?  You will be given each verse, however, in scrambled order.  The final Bible memory verse test will assess your ability to correctly re-order each verse from beginning to end.

Chang’s Newsletter—May 25th

Hello Parents/Guardians,
Get ready next Friday to hit the beach off of our very own Puget Sound, where we will be digging deeper to study this biome.  Also, I do need volunteers for the upcoming field trip to help shuttle the students with the vans to and from the beach and CCA.   Lastly, we need parent volunteers for field day on June 11th.  If you are interested, please let me know!  Your help would be most appreciated.

Chang’s Newsletter—May 18th

Hello Parents/Guardians,
The field trip to the Pacific Science Museum was very exciting and educationally enlightening with the Pompeii exhibit, insects, butterflies, dinosaurs, hands-on body exhibit, and show on volcanoes.   The Spelling bee is tomorrow; please come and join us.  On June the 5th, we have scheduled a field trip to the beach off the Puget Sound.  Also, come and join us Tuesday, May 26th 8:00-8:45 a.m. in the chapel to watch our fine fifth grade students perform their skits and put their faith into…“lights, camera,...action!”

Chang’s Newsletter—May 11th

Hello Parents/Guardians,
Science fair projects were a chemical reaction.  In the frenzy, the students created works of phenomenal proportion.  Their hard work was judged and congratulations to all! This Friday, we are headed to the Pacific Science Museum in Seattle.  Two more people may join, and the fee will be $15.  Don’t forget to bring a sack lunch!  On June the 5th, we have scheduled a field trip to the beach off the Puget Sound.  Also, come and join us Tuesday, May 26th 8:00-8:45 a.m. at chapel to play out our faith into…“lights, camera,...action!”

Chang’s Newsletter—May 4th









Hello Parents/Guardians,
Our final projects—Science fair projects—presentations take place today, and their hard work will be judged in the gymnasium Wednesday through Friday.  We are also looking forward to the exciting field trip to the Pacific Science Museum in Seattle, tinkering in tinker tank, viewing a video of volcanoes in the laser dome, walking through the Pompeii, naked moles, sonic bloom, and butterflies exhibits, oh my!
