What is happening in the classroom:
Bible Memory verse (below) test and Bible lessons due Friday.
Math Counting
sequences, identifying even and odd numbers, and comparing whole numbers were
worked on last week. This week, addition
algorithm, subtraction facts, and missing numbers in addition will be the
focus.
History This past week we focused on the creation
account and how it differs from the worldview of the theory of evolution. We
will continue to learn more about Old History, focusing on Asia’s Fertile
Crescent.
Science The students will continue to study about minerals and rocks.
Health Life in the blood was studied. This week, the heart will be examined.
Reading We have
been reading the novel Brother Andrew: God's Secret Agent. We will continue
reading this gripping account of this missionary.
Spelling and Vocabulary Spelling and Vocabulary (Worldly Wise) activities and tests are Wednesday’s. A new spelling list will be given each week; whereas, a new vocabulary list will be given every other Wednesday.
A Special Note:
Computer time: Khanacademy.org is a resourceful and accessible tutorial program. Setting up an account requires an email. Using a parent email rather than the student’s is possible, if preferred.

I will be posting upcoming events, homework and projects, and other pertinent and important information on this blog. Please look out for the Monday folders to review, sign, and return to school the following day.
If you would like to communicate a question or concern, please email me at mchang@foundationcampus.org.
