Newsletter for Nov. 17-21

Operation Christmas Child:  This Wednesday is the final day to turn in our shoeboxes. We have two boxes to send out so far.  

Stewardship Hours: Joining class field trips, or helping with our booth at the carnival. Need more time? Come and volunteer your time in class!

Class Auction Item: Our class contribution is a basket of kitchen tools/utensils.  To see and pick an item to contribute, please go to http://changfutureleaders.blogspot.com/ in “Handouts and More” for details.

Homework daily:
20 minutes: Read chapter book and record in log (due Tuesday of the next month)
10 minutes: Math Lesson Problem Set (See schedule below)
10 minutes: Worldly Wise Lesson—review definitions and complete a section each day (A-E)
 5 minutes: Spelling Activity Worksheet and write the words in cursive (three times) 
 5 minutes: In cursive, daily write the Bible memory verse (see below) to help for testing—due Friday

What we are learning…
Bible CONTINUE…to make sure to write the verse each day in cursive, which will be collected on Friday.
Math Study ahead for the test by reviewing the answers for each lesson taken down as notes in class.
Science We are going strong on learning about “Matter" (properties, changes, volume, etc.).
History and Writing Research using the textbook of past peoples, internet, library, and don’t forget your imagination in making your realistic country,  maps, flag, people and expository essay explaining these.
