Newsletter and Homework for the Week of November 3rd

First Quarter The first quarter is drawing to an end—tomorrow.  Time is steadily trekking on.
  
Veterans Day:  Come and join our assembling together on November 10 at 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., in honoring our fine men and women who have served and who serve our country.
World Vision and Operation Christmas Child
:  Thank you for ways to support those in need from the two children through World Vision and to spreading not only gifts in shoe boxes but also the gospel of Jesus.

Homework for each day: 
20 minutes: Read chapter book and record in log
10 minutes: Math Lesson Problem Set (See schedule below)
10 minutes: Worldly Wise Lesson 5—review definitions and complete a section each day (A-E)
 5 minutes: Spelling Activity 8 Worksheet and write the words in cursive (three times) 
 5 minutes: Write the scripture verse (see below) once each day to help memorize for test—due Friday

Tuesday        Review Math Answers; Spelling 8 worksheet, cursive, and test tomorrow
Wednesday   ML36 (odds)
Thursday      ML37 (evens);
Bible Memory Verse written four times in cursive and test due tomorrow
Friday          ML38 (odds)
Next Week
Math Test 6 (of lessons 26-30) next Tuesday; Worldly Wise Test 5 next Wednesday

What we are learning…
Bible NEW…Make sure to write the verse each day in cursive, which will be collected on Friday.
Math Study ahead by reviewing the answers for each lesson taken down as notes.
Science We are finishing up our chapter on “Fossils and Dinosaurs” with a test.  
History Get a head start and prepare for the next Passport test since these also count as a test grade.
Reading They did absolutely great on their book projects!  We are learning about genres in literature.

Hebrews 10:11-12 (ESV): 11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
