Chang’s Future Leaders: Newsletter March 2

Auction Our item to auction off is a basket of kitchen supplies/tools.  We have begun collecting items.  Please see the backside of this newsletter to see for more suggestions.  Please email me at mchang@foundationcampus.org if you would like to contribute.  If you are interested in being part of the auction committee, please contact dschoenberg@foundationcampus.org

Help needed Parents, if you are interested in lending a helping hand in the class once a week, please email me at mchang@foundationcampus.org.

Field trip We are going to the Jr. Programs Field trip during the morning time from 9:30 to 11:30 am on Thursday.

What we are learning…

Bible Verse We are finishing up the unit on Israel’s seven cycles of rebellion, bondage, repentance, and rescue in the book of Judges.  Get ready for the test next Monday
The Bible memory verse for this week is Romans 12:3.

History  We are continuing our study of Asia, and discovering the vast differences between the Chinese and American governments and their ways of life.  We will also study about these other Asian countries of Taiwan, Mongolia, and Korea.
Science  In the “Weather” chapter, we are studying on the kinds of winds and the types of moisture in the air.  We are embarking on the Science Fair projects.  Packets will be sent home this week.

Math Test 15 will be on Tuesday.
Reading  Continue to keep log of the monthly reading calendars.  Last month’s calendar is due tomorrow.  Bud, Not Buddy is getting interesting.  We are learning much through his challenging journey.

Language Arts Complete the spelling handouts for Spelling and Wordly Wise.  Last week, we started our marathon race called the “Write Source Challenge.” We are going to try and complete the workbook by going over four pages a day!  This challenge has exposed us to much of the conventions of grammar already!

Writing Our poetry projects are forming into a book as we.  The Cinquain “Alphabet Alliteration” poems were so cute, some truly made me laugh.  Please see my blog if you would like to view the full packet!
