Mrs. Chang’s 5th Grade: Newsletter Dec. 1-5

Family Wish List:  Another holiday is around the corner—Christmas.  Our family consists of a mother with a 6-month old son, living on a fixed income and father offers no support. If you would like to bless a family for Christmas please prayerfully consider.  More details of what we can contribute are to come.
Homework daily:
20 minutes: Read chapter book and record in log (due first Tuesday of each month)
10 minutes: Math Lesson Problem Set (See schedule below)
10 minutes: Worldly Wise Lesson—review definitions and work on sections
 5 minutes: Spelling Activity Worksheet and write the words in cursive to prepare for the test
 5 minutes: Write the Bible memory verse in cursive (see below) to help for testing—due Friday

Additional Notes/Reminders for that day:
Monday        ML51 (odds);          Review math answers for Math Test 8 (of lessons 36-40); Reading log
Tuesday        ML52 (evens);         Spelling 12, cursive once, and test tomorrow; Worldly Wise 7A-C
Wednesday   ML53 (odds);          Begin Spelling 13
Thursday      ML54 (evens);         Bible Memory Verse Practice cursive (four times) and test Friday
Friday          ML55 (odds);

What we are learning…
Worldly Wise will be due each Wednesday.  Sections A-C will be due this week and D-E the following. 
November Reading Calendar is due tomorrow.  I hope that you have been reading for your benefit.  Mark Twain claimed, “A person who won’t read has no advantage over one who can’t read. “  So, read, read, read anything and everything that you love and in order to increase your level of vocabulary and understanding.
Geography/Writing Project The rough draft will be worked on, reviewed, edited, and finalized for presentation one step-at-a-time!

December 5 ~ Wizard of Oz showing in Chapel at 6 p.m.
